Tomos & Tumbas

Tomos & Tumbas is a tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) designed to offer a simple, classless, levelless, and narrative experience set in a dark fantasy world. It innovatively uses traditional dice and boasts a robust set of systems. This is our inaugural attempt at creating a system to meet certain goals we couldn’t find in existing ones: flexibility, ease of use, an emphasis on downtime, tactical and dramatic combat, and a combat system that’s less random but more lethal. While it might be tempting to label our game as a Souls-like RPG, setting such a high standard would be ambitious. Thus, “Souls-light” seems more appropriate. Our two proudest innovations are the non-20 dice system and our “Words of Power” magic system.
